Pinheiros Altos

The resort is located in the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve, a nationally protected area just 5 minutes from extensive unspoilt beaches. Pinheiros Altos is unquestionably the ideal location for the holiday of your dreams.

The resort is considered to have the prime position in the 'golden triangle’ of Quinta do Lago, Vale do Lobo and Vilamoura, and features a 27-hole championship golf course served by a spectacular clubhouse with bar, restaurant and luxurious members’ lounge. There’s also a state-of-the-art Golf Academy and Pro Shop.

The original 18 holes were designed by the American golf architect Ronald Fream and the additional 9 holes were completed by the well-respected Portuguese golf architect George Santana da Silva. The 27-hole course is presented in three contrasting nine-hole formats, each of which is a PAR 36. All three courses – The Pines, The Corks and The Olives, have their starting and finishing points close to the beautiful Pinheiros Altos Clubhouse.

The firm, fast and testing greens are sown with Pentcross Bent and Bermuda fairway grass. This results in resilient and excellent surfaces on which to play golf, and all three courses have a reputation for testing golfers’ skills.
